Last Blog!

So I was surprised at how easy it was to read at the poetry readings. I thought overall everyone did a really great job, and a lot of the performances were really creative and intriguing. I thought it was interesting to hear everyone's unique personalities and styles come alive. Everyone reads their poems aloud during workshops, but a lot of times that is more rote reading off of the page, where as everyone's stage presences were a lot more involved and lively. I was very nervous to read my poem. I do not do well with public presentations and I am especially nervous when reading something that I have personally written. I was truly surprised by how easy and painless it actually was. Overall I thought the poetry readings were some of the most valuable and enjoyable assignments we have done all semester. Great job to everyone on their reading!
